CMS Made Simple: Hyperlinks and File Uploads

1. To create a hyperlink to another Webpage

Highlight the text with your mouse, or select the image, you would like to be a hyperlink, then click the hyperlink
icon in the toolbar hyperlink

Insert a hyperlink

2. In the Insert/edit link window that appears, Type the URL of the Webpage you would like to link to

Then hit the insert button. Make sure to save your page when you're done editing by hitting Submit or Apply on the main edit page.

Note: If you're linking to a page on your Website, you only need to enter the file name (e.g. contact.php) not the complete URL (e.g. http://mysite.com/contact.php)

If you would like to link to an image or file that you upload to your site, click the file browse icon File Browser.

3. Linking to a file or image that you've uploaded to your site.

If you select the file browse icon File Browser, a file selection window appears. You can either select a directory and file with documents you've already uploaded, or select the browse button Browse Button to select a file from your local PC or Mac system to upload to the site.

The CMS system will insert the path into the Link URL field. Just click the insert button and then save your page or new post.

Note: you can upload and manage photos and image files on your site from the main admin panel under Content -> Image Manager and likewise other files, such as Word or pdf documents, under Content -> Front End File Management (Uploads).
