How we work
A website with Risingline is one ongoing engagement, not a project with an end date. Here's what that's actually like, from the first conversation through years of routine changes.
The experience, end to end
An engagement begins with a conversation about your business and the site it needs. We design and build the site, test every page against ADA (WCAG) accessibility standards, and launch it on infrastructure we manage. From that point forward, the engagement becomes the ongoing part: hosting, security operations, daily off-site backups, privacy practices kept current, and every change the site needs, for as long as you're with us. The person who designed the site is the person running it a year later.
When something needs to change (a new hire's photo and bio, updated hours, a reworded service description), you send one email. The change is made, checked against the same standards the site was built to, and you get a reply when it's live. There is no ticket system, no portal, no dashboard, no login to keep track of. The people answering are your dedicated account managers: senior designers and developers who helped build your site, work on the infrastructure under it, and make the changes when you write. Nothing gets relayed through someone who has to go find out.
What we deliberately keep off our servers
- No content-management backend
- No plugins
- No login screens
- No forms that collect personal data
- No payment processing on our infrastructure
Each absence removes a way in, and most website break-ins arrive through exactly the software we leave out. It also means there is nothing on your side to update, patch, or secure.
If your site lives somewhere else today
Switching starts with one email. We inventory what you have, rebuild on our infrastructure, and handle the cutover. Your site stays reachable while it happens. You describe what's working and what isn't. The rest of the move lands on our side.
